Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to coordinate and optimize maintenance activities within our facility. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations through effective planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will focus on predictive and preventative maintenance strategies, managing critical parts, work orders, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to support continuous improvement. Responsibilities Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules that align with operational needs and production demands. Coordinate predictive and preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Verify that required parts, materials, tools, permits, drawings, procedures, and other resources are available before work is scheduled. Develop detailed job plans that identify required labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, procedures, and estimated hours. Manage work orders efficiently, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks while prioritizing critical parts and equipment . Monitor and analyze KPIs related to maintenance performance, such as work order completion rates, downtime, and maintenance costs. Collaborate with maintenance technicians, operations teams, and management to plan resources effectively. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company policies. Track inventory levels of critical parts to facilitate proactive procurement and reduce delays in repairs. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on maintenance efficiency, reliability, cost reduction, and equipment availability. Continuously review and improve scheduling processes to enhance overall maintenance effectiveness. Ensure maintenance activities are planned in accordance with company safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements. Skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with various teams and stakeholders. Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance principles and practices. Experience with work order management systems or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) SAP, MaintainX or similar. Analytical skills to interpret KPIs and implement improvements based on data insights. Ability to anticipate equipment needs, manage critical parts inventory, and plan for contingencies. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling, documentation, and reporting. Problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts or unforeseen maintenance issues efficiently. Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
