The Radiology Scheduler Lead position is responsible for efficiently coordinating and overseeing imaging appointment scheduling to ensure a seamless, timely and patient-centered experience. In addition to performing advanced scheduling duties, this position provides guidance and support to radiology scheduling staff, ensuring consistent performance, adherence to policies and optimized workflow. This position serves as a key liaison between patients, providers, clinics and radiology staff while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and department standards.MINIMUM MANDATORY
qualificationsExperience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of medical office or healthcare scheduling experience, including medical terminology.
- Minimum of one (1) year previous experience in scheduling, customer service or healthcare administration.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact compassionately and effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage a high volume of calls, appointment requests and scheduling tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to handle scheduling conflicts and resolve issues efficiently.
- Regular, predictable attendance with flexibility to adapt to varying workloads or schedules.
Education:
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Test (HSE).
Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills in dealing with a variety of individuals.
- Proficiency with scheduling software, EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adherence to Holy Cross Medical Center (HCMC) policies surrounding patient safety, infection control and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA).

- The applicant must be in good health and physically able to carry out the job duties. The job may require exposure to the outside environment, walking and standing for long periods of time and may require physically restraining other individuals on occasion.
