Position Summary:
Maintains master manufacturing schedule via internal system Daily Production Scheduler (DPS) as well as individual department schedules. Reviews and updates vendor and internal Booklet and Standard press schedules with accurate and update information, including target and max ship dates. Requires attention to detail. Reports to the Manager of Scheduling and Inventory Control. Schedules all manufacturing jobs and equipment with the goal of exceeding customer expectations, meeting established on time delivery metrics while coordinating based on internal capabilities. Creates schedule based on inventory and raw materials availability, production capacity and workload distribution across multiple sites and shifts. Advises department manager of any change in the status of jobs and/or potential problems. Processes and responds to rush requests after reviewing with department management Builds and maintains rapport and cooperative relationships with internal departments and sister sites. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to actively listen, check for understanding and maintain a professional manner when problems/conflicts arise Demonstrates sound problem solving skills and exercises good judgment and appropriate discretion when reaching conclusions Advises manager and/or team leader of any unexpected material shortfalls Combines Production Runs as needed to maximize productivity and internal operations efficiency. Demonstrates thoroughness and accuracy on assignments Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner. Follows all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), client protocols, and quality criteria in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of responsibility. Education Required:
High School Diploma or G.E.
D Experience Required :
2 years' experience scheduling within a manufacturing environment or equivalent job-related experience Excel and/or database management experience Physical Requirements / Work Environment Fast-paced environment which relies on teamwork to ensure jobs are completed within established timelines.
