We have 12 different locations across North America in three different segments of the pulp and paper industry (Paper, Fiber and Recovery). Since August 2023, we acquired Hanna Paper, now Sustana Recovery. Sustana Recovery is committed to providing wastepaper management solutions that meet the specific needs of each of their customers, ensuring that they have access to the most efficient and cost-effective wastepaper management solution for their unique requirements. With this strategic acquisition, Sustana is committed to continuously investing in the stability and the sustainability circle of its supply chain. This acquisition is in the process of contributing to a strong future for the sustainable pulp and paper solution industry in North America. Under the supervision of the Plant and General Manager, as a Operations Coordinator, you will perform a variety of tasks to support our operations and contribute to the overall success of our company. The Operations Coordinator will have the responsibility to support daily operations at our Sustana Recovery Plant in Buffalo. This role is vital to ensure safety, productivity, and operational excellence while leading and supporting a team of 12 people. Role and Responsibilities Assisting in supervising and coordinating daily plant activities to ensure production objectives are met. Supporting the implementation of safety policies, participating in safety audits, and helping maintain regulatory compliance. Monitoring production processes and assisting in ensuring quality standards for recycled paper products. Helping identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives. Assisting in preparing operational and safety performance reports. Supporting the resolution of production-related issues, including equipment, quality, and workforce needs. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, recycling, or industrial environment. Knowledge of production processes and quality control principles. Proficiency with production management software. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in interpreting production data and implementing process improvements. Strong commitment to health and safety standards. Physical Requirements and Working environment
