Henrietta, NY Job Details Full-time $20 - $22 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications Computer operation High school diploma or GED Transportation management Warehouse experience Manufacturing Full Job Description Manufacturing Operations Assistant 1.0 Executive Summary Torion USA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented manufacturing operations assistant. In this role, you will support the manufacturing and delivery of complex fusion fuel cycle systems by supporting the purchase of materials and components, receiving orders and tracking inventory, and the shipment of systems and components to our customers. These roles support our growth as a leader in fusion fuel cycle systems and components. The ideal candidate is self-starting, eager to learn, comfortable working with hand and power tools, and committed to producing high-quality work in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience with industrial manufacturing is beneficial but not required. 2.0 Key Responsibilities The sections below will outline the qualification requirements of each job function. The position will report to the President of the company and work closely with the Manufacturing Manager. 2.1 Purchasing Create and process purchase orders (POs) based on inventory levels, production needs, and customer requirements. Obtain pricing, availability, and delivery information from suppliers. Communicate with vendors regarding orders, backorders, pricing, and delivery schedules. Monitor open purchase orders and follow up on delayed or missing shipments. Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor information. Assist with identifying cost-saving opportunities. Maintain accurate financials for spend reporting and budget tracking. Maintain documentation consistent with the Torion

  • Receive incoming materials, products, and supplies and verify quantities against POs and packing slips.
  • Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Maintain inventory management system.
  • Enter received items accurately into the inventory management system.
  • Label, organize, and properly store incoming materials.
  • Inspect and certify certified material test reports (CMTRs) against the code allowances.
  • File CMTRs and work with Quality Assurance (QA) manager to ensure acceptance.
  • Report damaged, incorrect, or missing items to vendors and management.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) consistent with the Torion

2015 Quality System.
  • Maintain accurate receiving documentation and inventory records.
2.3 Shipping Prepare orders for shipment and verify items, quantities, and shipping information. Inspect and ensure packaging/crating is adequate for safe transport of items. Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and other required documentation in accordance with the PO. Schedule shipments and coordinate with freight carriers, FedEx, or other transportation providers. Maintain accounts with freight carriers, or other transportation providers. Track shipments and communicate delivery updates or issues. Process returns, exchanges, and shipping discrepancies as needed. 2.4 Additional Responsibilities Maintain organized warehouse and shipping/receiving areas. Perform physical inventory as needed. Investigate inventory discrepancies and make appropriate adjustments. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Provide excellent customer service. Perform other purchasing, receiving, inventory, and shipping duties as assigned. 3.0 Qualifications Minimum High school diploma or GED required. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Previous experience in purchasing, receiving, shipping, inventory, warehouse, or logistics. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, customers, carriers, and co-workers. Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to lift and move packages/materials as required by the position.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
