Operate a variety of kitchen equipment safely, including grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food production appliances. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations following food safety sanitizing procedures at all times. Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials based on ingredient availability and customer preferences. Support high-volume food production while maintaining quality control across all prepared items. Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques to ensure safety and freshness. Qualifications Previous experience in dietary aide roles or dietary department environments is highly desirable. Proven experience working in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings with strong food preparation skills. Expertise in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation. Demonstrated knife skills along with proficiency operating commercial kitchen equipment. Knowledge of food safety management procedures and sanitizing protocols to uphold health standards. Experience with food industry standards including recipe adherence, food handling, and catering operations. Strong background in food service operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
