At James Cropper Advanced Materials, we're looking for an Operations & Office Coordinator to become the heartbeat of our Schenectady office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing administration, employee support, purchasing, and operational coordination within a collaborative and innovative manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in creating a positive, professional experience for employees, customers, suppliers, and visitors while supporting the day-to-day success of our growing business. What You'll Be Doing As our Operations & Office Coordinator, you'll take ownership of a wide range of responsibilities, including: Office & Administrative Support Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, suppliers, and incoming enquiries Coordinating meetings, conference rooms, training sessions, and company events Managing office supplies, mail, courier services, and administrative records Supporting the preparation of reports, presentations, and business correspondence Maintaining a professional, welcoming, and efficient office environment Purchasing & Vendor Coordination Managing relationships with office and operational suppliers Ordering and maintaining office, maintenance, and breakroom supplies Tracking orders and resolving supplier issues Supporting invoice processing and purchasing administration Employee & HR Support Coordinating onboarding activities for new team members Assisting with employee engagement initiatives, training administration, and company events Providing administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle Operations Support Coordinating shipping and receiving activities Maintaining shipment and delivery records Supporting invoicing and operational administration Assisting with process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who is proactive, organised, and enjoys building positive relationships across all levels of the business. You'll ideally bring: Previous experience in office administration, operations coordination, customer service, or purchasing support Excellent organisational and multitasking skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities A high level of attention to detail with strong Microsoft Office skills A customer-focused approach and positive can do attitude Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred

Work Schedule, Conditions, and Other Requirements:
Working hours Monday through Friday onsite typically from 7:00 to 15:30. There is some opportunity for flexibility within this work schedule to meet individual needs. You must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.
