Job Description

Video Operations Assistant (2600702) Video Operations Assistant Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). One (1) year of full-time video operation experience with a college, high school, or professional sports program.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with XOS Thunder, XOS Lightning, and/or XOS Cloud. Experience with Coach Comm and/or SkyCoach. Experience with video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere). Experience with a collegiate football program. Understanding of NCAA Compliance Rules (played a Division I, II or III sport, coached in collegiate athletics or as a staff member in a collegiate athletic program). Previous experience with a Division I Athletic Program.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Video Operations Assistant is a professional position in which the incumbent is responsible for helping with the coordination and administration of the video services in the Football Program. This person will help coordinate the filming of all football practices, home and away contests, responsible for the editing of all in-house films for the purpose of scouting, teaching, recruiting materials, as well as promotional and highlight films as they specifically relate to the Football Program. This position will assist in the technical videographic work and production. They will also help manage all video related equipment and services, contracts, and equipment. Filming and Development of all Football Related Footage Assist with the planning, oversight, and coordination of the filming of all football team practices, home and away contests, and training sessions of the Football Program. This includes all physical setup for videotaping, as well as the proper transportation and storage of the video equipment to and from the facilities. Will work closely on editing and customizing the team film for coaching staff breakdown, used for study and teaching purposes. Film projects include but are not limited to situational cut-ups for distribution to appropriate personnel, statistical data by position, play formations for coaching staff, strategic planning for video operations, highlight tapes for recruitment of potential student athletes as well as fans and motivational projects for use by the coaching staff. Film Exchange Develop and maintain all film exchange agreements with opponent football programs for the purposes of mutual scouting. Work with professional scouts to assist in the evaluation of the University's student-athletes. Adhere to all CAA and NCAA guidelines in regards to mandated film exchange policies which includes but is not limited to appropriate number of copies, deadlines, shipping requirements and formats. Equipment Maintenance The Assistant will help manage the oversight of the video equipment and all components, They will develop and maintain an inventory of video equipment, peripheral equipment and supplies. They will be required to assist in performing routine maintenance on equipment which includes troubleshooting and maintenance of video equipment for on and off-site athletic events. The Assistant will need to research and assess new video methods and technology and make recommendations for new equipment and equipment upgrades as well as process enhancements where appropriate. Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

This is a part-time appointment. FLSA Non Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Evening and weekend work will be required at times.
