Pay:
$28.00 - $36.00/hour (Non-Exempt, Hourly)

None About the Role TuscoMFG is a custom metal fabrication job shop in Gnadenhutten, OH. We're hiring a Production Scheduler to own the master production schedule across Laser/Turret, Form, Press Direct, Weld, Finishing, and Assembly — sequencing jobs, tracking status floor-wide, and serving as the shop's single source of truth for what should be running and when. This is a schedule-ownership role with real authority and floor-wide visibility, even without direct reports. What You'll Do Scheduling Build and maintain the daily/weekly production schedule across all departments based on due dates, capacity, and material/tooling availability Sequence and re-sequence jobs as priorities, rush orders, or capacity constraints change Keep job status, routing steps, and due dates current and accurate in our ERP system Coordinate with Purchasing on material availability that affects schedule feasibility Floor Visibility & Follow-Through Walk the floor regularly to verify actual job status against the published schedule Follow up directly with Team Leads and operators when a job is behind, and document why Raise schedule-adherence concerns with the Production Manager and request a specific recovery plan when a department or job is at risk Flag recurring or unresolved issues to the Director of Operations & Facilities Management Communicate schedule changes clearly and with enough lead time for departments to react Reporting Publish daily schedule-adherence and on-time-delivery metrics Provide capacity and load visibility to support staffing and overtime decisions Schedule & On-Site Expectations Primarily on-site during production hours to maintain real-time visibility into the floor. Some flexibility for schedule-planning, ERP, or reporting work that doesn't require floor presence, with manager approval. What We Offer Health, vision, dental, & life insurance 401k with company match Paid Time Off in first year 10 Paid Company Holidays (two days at Thanksgiving & Christmas) Paid training and opportunities for advancement What You'll Bring Required 3+ years of production scheduling, planning, or production control experience in a manufacturing environment Strong ERP/MRP proficiency (Epicor or comparable) — comfortable owning schedule data directly in the system Working knowledge of job-shop, high-mix/low-volume production flow and routing logic A confident, direct communication style — you'll ask pointed questions of people across every level of the floor and expect a straight answer Preferred Prior experience in a role with schedule authority but no direct reports Familiarity with metal fabrication process flow (laser/turret, forming, welding, finishing) Physical Requirements Frequent walking of the full production floor to verify job status Hybrid office/floor role; exposure to shop floor noise during floor checks Extended periods at a desk/computer workstation for schedule building, ERP data entry, and reporting Occasional lifting of files, binders, or office materials up to 15 lbs TuscoMFG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
