Project Management Support The Opportunity We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Project Scheduler to join our project management team. In this role, you will be the architectural backbone of our project timelines, responsible for coordinating team activities and supporting Project Managers (PMs). You will independently lead the development and analysis of intermediate to complex work schedules, ensuring that major infrastructure projects remain on track, on budget, and within scope.
Core Responsibilities Schedule Development:
Define activities, durations, and logic sequences to create fully integrated system schedules using Critical Path Methodology (CPM).
Project Integration:
Plan, baseline, and maintain schedules with minimal oversight, including resource loading and leveling for complex work packages.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Organize and lead schedule review meetings, capturing minutes and action items. Interface effectively with execution teams, contractors, suppliers, and senior management.
Analysis & Reporting:
Prepare KPI reports, commodity curves, and SPI/CPI metrics. Develop "What-If" scenarios (compressed or crashed schedules) to mitigate risks and address project delays.
System Maintenance:
Oversee the daily operation of scheduling software, ensuring data integrity and adherence to organizational governance standards.
Mentorship:
Provide guidance and training to junior-level schedulers to ensure department-wide consistency. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor s Degree (Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or Project Management) with 2+ years of related experience OR Associate s Degree in a related field with 4+ years of related experience.
Required Expertise:
Direct scheduling experience within the utilities or construction management sectors.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential. mastery of Microsoft Office (advanced Excel) is required.
salary:
$51.26 - $56.26 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5

BachelorsResponsibilitiesDefine activities, durations, work sequences, and relationship logic to develop the plan and develop milestones to represent key decisions and deliverables that take place during execution. Ensure all logic and activities support the level of detail required by the customer and meet internal department standards and guidance. Ensure all scope and deliverables are accounted for. Develop fully integrated system schedules (including resource loading and leveling) for complex and intermediate scope of work execution teams including detailed system schedules that utilize critical path methodology based on work scope from the work packages and planners work list. Organize and lead schedule review meetings with all stakeholders and incorporate appropriate details. Ensure clear minutes and action items, as required. Engage team and stakeholders to create schedules and provide schedule analysis updates to team, alerting them to schedule risks and issues that could delay milestones. Communicate schedule status to project stakeholders. Lead the administration of the AEP project management organizational standards and assist in the management of projects to those standards. Adhere to the guidance and standards put forth by the AEP Project Management Governance Committee. Work with Administrator to assign security, profiles and roles for new users.
