This position reports to:
Operations Manager __ We are seeking an experienced Production Planner Scheduler to develop and manage production schedules that support customer commitments, manufacturing capacity, and material availability. This role serves as a key connection between Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Project Management, and Supply Chain, ensuring production plans are achievable and issues affecting delivery are identified and resolved. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment with competing priorities and frequent changes. The work model for the role is: Onsite in Bartlesville, OK. #LI-Onsite Your role and responsibilities: Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, forecasted demand, plant capacity, material availability, and manufacturing requirements. Coordinate material requirements and procurement timing to ensure raw materials and components are available to support production schedules. Monitor inventory, work-in-process (WIP), production progress, and capacity, identifying risks and taking action to prevent delays. Manage planning activities for complex and custom orders, partnering with Project Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and other functions to coordinate custom builds, materials, software, and manufactured units. Identify and resolve production constraints, scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and other issues impacting quality, delivery, or production performance. Maintain planning data, production parameters, and reports within SAP or other business systems, ensuring information is accurate and actionable. Analyze manufacturing processes, workflow, equipment utilization, and capacity to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. Lead cross-functional problem solving and communicate priorities, risks, and solutions effectively with management, production employees, engineers, procurement, vendors, and other stakeholders. Qualifications for the role:
Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, inventory management, or material requirements planning (MRP) within a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and experience working with SAP or a similar enterprise planning system. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally to identify problems, make decisions, and drive issues to resolution. Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US permanently. Preferred Experience with APICS/ASCM, Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, or other manufacturing/supply chain methodologies. Experience planning and scheduling technical, electronic, instrumentation, or engineered-to-order products. Experience working with complex or custom manufacturing orders and coordinating activities across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Project Management.
