Job Summary:
The Bread Expeditor 1 is the link between Bread Production and Delivery. The Bread Expeditor 1 safely, accurately, and efficiently pulls and expedites all phases of wholesale bread orders. The Bread Expeditor 1 position is the first of three Bread Expeditor levels.
Compensation:
$20.05/hour (non-exempt, overtime eligible). Comprehensive Benefits Package.

The Bread Expeditor 1 reports to the Delivery Assistant Manager and is accountable to the Expeditor Coordinator.
Schedule Requirements:
Grand Central Bakery operates 7 days a week/365 days a year. Schedule flexibility and the ability to work weekends is required. This position is full-time and works evening hours (start time can range between 5 and 8pm).
Essential job responsibilities:
Is able to differentiate between and describe productsPulls orders, slices, and packages all products in a timely, accurate, and efficient mannerMaintains accurate counts of productsUnderstands use of all equipment in ExpeditingAble to operate bread and bun slicers efficiently while maintaining quality standardsMeets quality and pace expectations as per training requirementsKeeps delivery and expediting areas clean and orderlyFollows HACCP training and understands responsibilities to maintain records and food safety goalsPerforms quality control of product, culls unusable loaves, and records the loss to the Expeditor Coordinator.

Communicates critical information to the Expeditor Coordinator or Manager in a timely manner including:

Equipment issuesSupply concernsMaintenance or cleaning needsAccurate counts of product and shortages due to cullingQuality control information and trendsUnderstands the financial goals of the department and the impact of lost product.

Knows and acts in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Grand Central Bakery in all parts of their job.

Works collaboratively with a team. Communicates respectfully and professionally with teammates.

Delivers excellent customer service - follows the 3 steps to great service at all times.

Maintains competencies and demonstrate continuous application of these skills throughout the period of employment.
