Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Yard Operations Associate to join our logistics and warehouse team. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and move materials safely within the yard and warehouse. Assist with order picking and shipping & receiving processes to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Load and unload trucks efficiently by utilizing proper manual handling techniques and material handling equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records through inventory management systems and conduct regular yard audits to ensure stock accuracy. Follow safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards, including proper use of safety gear and adherence to heavy lifting guidelines. Organize yard space for optimal flow of materials and equipment, ensuring a clean and hazard-free environment. Support warehouse operations by assisting warehouse supervisors with daily tasks, including documentation, safety checks, and equipment inspections. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related warehouse experience is preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools safely. Experience with order picker operations and shipping & receiving procedures. Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners for tracking materials accurately. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments or inventory levels. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation. Previous warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership roles.
