The Opportunity:
Hamilton Lane is seeking an AI Strategy & Operations Associate to support the firm's growing AI initiatives. This position will be responsible for coordinating program tracking across embedded AI teams, developing and delivering firm-wide AI training, managing relationships with AI technology vendors, providing frontline support for AI-related inquiries, and monitoring platform usage and cost. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with Innovation leadership and will interface regularly with Compliance, Technology, Legal, and Engineering.Responsibilities:
- Facilitate recurring standups and check-ins with embedded AI teams to monitor progress against established roadmaps.
- Track and report on return-on-investment metrics for embedded AI initiatives using the firm's existing ROI framework and communicate status updates to Innovation leadership.
- Develop AI training materials and deliver training sessions to firm-wide and function-specific audiences.
- Manage relationships with the firm's AI technology vendors, including oversight of platform usage and coordination on contract renewals.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Engineering on the evaluation, onboarding, and ongoing governance of AI vendors and tools.
- Monitor and respond to AI-related questions submitted through the firm's designated support channel, escalating issues as needed.
- Develop and maintain FAQ documentation and self-service resources to support the business.
- Track token and platform usage costs across all AI tools and identify opportunities to enhance reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the firm's broader AI strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of professional experience in technology program management, business operations, or a related field, preferably within a fintech or financial services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and stakeholders in a structured, organized manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently in a growing, high-visibility function with evolving priorities.
- Familiarity with AI governance, vendor management, or usage and cost-tracking practices.
- Prior experience with enterprise AI platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, Harvey, or Glean.
- Background in asset management, private markets, or broader financial services, a plus.
