Job Description

NURSE SCHEDULER
Are you organized, dependable, and experienced in healthcare scheduling? We are looking for a Nurse Scheduler to join our dedicated team! The Nurse Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring appropriate staffing coverage to support quality resident care and smooth daily operations within our nursing home. Responsibilities Create, maintain, and update daily and weekly nursing schedules Coordinate shift coverage and address staffing gaps Manage call-offs and arrange appropriate replacements Monitor staffing levels and communicate staffing needs to facility leadership Assist with maintaining staffing compliance and required coverage Work closely with nursing leadership and staff to resolve scheduling concerns Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation Respond to staffing changes and urgent coverage needs in a timely manner Qualifications Previous healthcare or long-term care scheduling experience is required Knowledge of nursing staffing requirements and scheduling practices Experience with scheduling systems or staffing software preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to work effectively with nurses, aides, leadership, and other facility staff Previous experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting is strongly preferred We offer a supportive team environment, competitive pay, and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents and the staff who care for them.
