Operational Assistant - Senior Living We are seeking a highly capable, organized, and hands-on Operational Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our senior living community. This is not a traditional administrative assistant position. We are looking for a strong leader who can be present throughout the building, work closely with staff and department leaders, identify problems before they become larger issues, and help ensure that residents and families receive excellent service and care. Key Responsibilities Maintain a strong daily presence throughout the community and stay connected with all departments. Work closely with caregiving staff, medication staff, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, activities, and management. Help ensure staff are following policies, schedules, and expectations. Address day-to-day operational and resident-care concerns quickly and professionally. Serve as a point person for resident and family concerns and follow through until issues are resolved. Monitor staff performance, accountability, communication, and teamwork. Assist with staffing challenges, call-offs, coverage, scheduling issues, and workflow. Identify operational problems and bring solutions to management. Follow up on resident needs, incidents, complaints, and outstanding concerns. Help improve systems, communication, customer service, and overall quality within the community. Support management with employee coaching, training, and accountability. Assist with admissions, move-ins, resident transitions, and coordination between departments as needed. Help create a positive, professional, well-run environment for residents, families, and employees. Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is a strong, confident leader who takes ownership . The right candidate should have:
Leadership or management experience in senior living, assisted living, personal care, healthcare, skilled nursing, home care, or a similar environment. Strong understanding of resident care and frontline staff operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle family concerns professionally and calmly. Strong follow-through and attention to detail. Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining positive relationships. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A hands-on management style and willingness to be visible throughout the community. Experience as a Resident Care Coordinator, Wellness Director, Director of Resident Care, Assistant Executive Director, Personal Care Administrator, Nursing Supervisor, or similar leadership position is highly desirable.
