Scheduler/Recruiter - Skilled Home Health (Private Duty Nursing)

Full-Time About Us Abundant Care Home Health Agency is a PA-licensed skilled home health agency providing private duty nursing (PDN) and skilled care to adult and pediatric patients, including complex pediatric cases. We're looking for a detail-oriented Scheduler/Recruiter to join our office team and help us match qualified nursing staff with patients who depend on consistent, reliable care. Position Summary The Scheduler/Recruiter is responsible for building and maintaining daily patient care schedules, filling open shifts, and sourcing, screening, and onboarding new nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, and home health aides). This is a dual-function role requiring strong organizational skills, a sense of urgency around shift coverage, and the ability to build relationships with both clinicians and families. Key Responsibilities Scheduling Build and maintain daily/weekly schedules for private duty nursing and skilled visit staff across an active pediatric and adult caseload Staff Referrals within hours of receiving according to CMS Guidelines. Fill call-offs and open shifts quickly to avoid gaps in patient care Coordinate staff availability, certifications, and patient-specific care requirements to ensure appropriate matches Maintain accurate scheduling records across agency systems (including EVV compliance) Communicate schedule changes promptly to staff, patients/families, and clinical leadership Track and report on missed visits, late clock-ins, and coverage gaps Recruiting Source candidates for RN, LPN, and HHA positions through job boards, referrals, and community outreach Screen resumes, conduct phone/in-person interviews, and coordinate the hiring process Verify licenses, certifications, and required credentials prior to hire Manage new hire onboarding paperwork, orientation scheduling, and compliance documentation Maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates to support ongoing PDN staffing needs Track credentialing expirations and coordinate renewals with current staff Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred 2+ years of experience in home health, staffing, scheduling, or healthcare recruiting preferred Familiarity with home health software and EVV systems a plus Strong communication and multitasking skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle sensitive patient and employee information with discretion (HIPAA compliance) Experience with pediatric or private duty nursing staffing is a strong plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Supportive, mission-driven team environment Opportunity for growth within a growing agency
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
