Description Employer is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Scheduler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and optimizing our manufacturing schedules to ensure on-time product delivery. You will serve as the central hub of our shop floor, balancing customer demands with machine capacity, material availability, and labor constraints. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment and possesses strong problem-solving skills to keep production running smoothly.
Core Responsibilities Schedule Creation:
Develop, maintain, and distribute daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, sales forecast, and plant capacity. Material Coordination Monitor Inventory levels and collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure raw materials are available before production begins. Capacity Planning Evaluate machine workloads and labor availability to maximize efficiency and prevent bottlenecks on the factory floor. EPR Management Input, track and close out production orders within our ERP/MRP system to maintain accurate real-time data. Disruption Management Adjust master schedules quickly in response to machine breakdowns, material shortages, or rush orders. Cross-Functional Communication Lead daily or weekly scheduling meetings with production supervisors, sales, and warehouse teams to align on delivery deadlines. Qualifications and Skills Experience 2+ years of scheduling, planning or inventory control experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment Education High School Diploma require; and Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Operations is highly preferred Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands on experience using ERP/MRP systems Analytical Skills Strong ability to read production data, spot inefficiencies and make quick, data-driven decisions Communication Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with both shop floor workers and upper management Additional Details How To Identify Potential Job Scams
