at The University of Vermont Medical Center in South Burlington, Vermont, United States Job Description Position is remote eligible. All computer equipment is provided to the employee. Applicant must have a private and secure workspace. High speed broadband internet is required and employee is responsible for the monthly cost. Candidates will be required to work Eastern Standard Time hours. Are you looking to make a difference in the work that you do each day? Do you want to inspire others? The primary job duties will be scheduling appointments and handling a high volume of calls for multiple clinics. The Patient Access Specialist answers inbound calls for various departments providing front-line customer service to patients, physicians and staff. Incumbent prioritizes patient problems and provides appropriate patient instructions. This position requires the ability to communicate in a clear, effective, and competent manner while providing welcoming and approachable service to ensure a positive outcome.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or
GED EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated customer service in a medical, fast-paced retail or other business environment. Healthcare call center experience that assists with
SCHEDULING IN A MEDICAL OFFICE STRONGLY PREFERRED. EPIC
