Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Scheduler manages the flow of parts to ensure delivery of product meets and exceeds customer expectations. This position is responsible for the scheduling and production planning of all manufactured product lines. This role also develops and implements systems to improve site efficiency, while utilizing all available resources to plan production and work schedules in line with targets and meet customer requirements. This position role works closely with customer service, purchasing, and production teams to align work shifts and expedite orders while maintaining budget commitments. This position helps drive and improve the corporate continuous improvement.CORE FUNCTIONS
Manage the Production Control functions of planning and scheduling as required, including work order priorities, manufacturing capacities, and shipping schedules. Analyze customer demand and lead times to transition SKU strategies between Made to Order & Made to Stock. Work as a communication liaison between the plant and customer service in proactively communicating and resolving service issues and/or meeting business and customer needs. Manage customer service critical order expedite requests. Monitor inventory levels and review detailed product line forecasts. Help disposition aging inventory items. Work with plant operations to identify opportunities to improve production cycles to reduce working capital while also maintaining or lowering total net costs. Assist in the planning and management of physical inventory counts. And other duties assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree required. 3+ years of supply chain or production operational experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Engineering or Supply Chain Management degree preferred. Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge Skilled in spreadsheets and Microsoft Office. Lean Manufacturing experience, including continuous improvement initiatives, is a plus. Skilled in ERP Software. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret spreadsheets. Ability to problem solve. Ability to write, speak and comprehend English. Bilingual preferred. Ability to effectively communicate. Knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) scheduling techniques.
