Maintenance Scheduler Develops weekly maintenance schedules, facilitates weekly scheduling meetings, coordinates resources across Maintenance, Operations, Production, and Engineering, tracks field progress, identifies constraints, and reports schedule performance metrics. Requires strong organizational and communication skills, an understanding of industrial maintenance activities, proficiency in Excel. Ability to understand maintenance priorities and translate them into an executable schedule. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to go into the field to verify work status and track progress. Ability to analyze schedules, resources, and workload to identify areas of constraint. Ability to track and report scheduling metrics. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP or another computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Experience with maintenance scheduling in an industrial environment. Experience working in a chemical plant, manufacturing facility, refinery, power plant, or similar industrial environment. Experience developing weekly maintenance schedules and tracking schedule adherence. Experience with maintenance KPIs and performance reporting. Familiarity with maintenance work orders, job plans, resource requirements, and backlog management.

Ability to develop practical schedules based on priorities, resources, job requirements, and operational constraints.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to evaluate schedule performance, identify trends, and recognize constraints affecting execution.

Communication:

Ability to clearly communicate priorities, schedule changes, and performance expectations.

Leadership:

Ability to lead scheduling meetings and facilitate agreement between multiple departments.

Problem Solving:

Ability to address moderately complex scheduling problems and develop practical solutions.

Teamwork:

Promotes collaboration and consensus across Maintenance, Operations, Production, and Engineering.

Technical Understanding:

Basic understanding of industrial equipment and maintenance work sequences.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Primavera P6.

Time Management:

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain weekly maintenance schedules within assigned operating units. Lead weekly scheduling meetings with Operations and Maintenance teams to: Review upcoming work. Solicit and prioritize maintenance activities. Develop the schedule for the following week. Review schedule performance and adherence from the previous week. Review work orders and planned maintenance activities to ensure work is properly prepared for scheduling. Evaluate manpower, equipment, materials, and other resources required to complete scheduled work. Identify resource constraints, scheduling conflicts, and potential barriers that could affect execution. Work directly in the field to track progress of scheduled work and validate actual job status. Communicate schedule changes, delays, and constraints to appropriate stakeholders. Track and report maintenance scheduling metrics and KPIs. Prepare weekly schedule performance reports for maintenance personnel and project teams. Support planning and scheduling activities for plant maintenance outages, projects, and programs. Assist with long-range and short-term scheduling activities as required. Maintain accurate scheduling information and provide timely updates to the maintenance organization. Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, resource utilization, productivity, and schedule compliance. Promote teamwork and establish consensus between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other stakeholders. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
