Job Description

Summary of Position The Operations Specialist is responsible for operating printers, assisting in the warehouse, assisting on the inserting machines and any other equipment and/or departments assigned in Production Operations. This is a nonexempt position. Accountability Reports to the Director of Production Operations Core Responsibilities Core Responsibilities have not yet been established. Responsibilities 1. Operate variable data printers and other peripheral equipment. Inspect printed material to identify and correct errors, spot and improve weaknesses in order to produce a high quality printed output. 2. Handles and move forms and other related operations inventory. 3. Delivers to and picks up mail at designated areas on campus. Carries mail to and picks up mail from the US Post Office. 4. Provide Warehouse support in receiving and delivering materials for Operations. 5. Operate mail inserting machines as assigned to meet production goals. 6. Unpack and prepare materials for use on the inserting machine, keeping feeders filled to insure a smooth unbroken machine operation. 7. Support production operations in a variety of roles in order to meet production goals and staffing. 8. Performs other responsibilities as requested by the Director of Production Operations. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Attention to detail Good computer skills Valid Driver's License Ability to learn/operate forklift Physical Demands Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Frequently moves with Pallet Jack Truck 2500 to 3000 lbs. Regularly bends, stoops, and crouches. Ability to stand for prolonged periods. Uses the abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly over time without becoming fatigued. Uses both hands and wrists repetitively for prolonged periods.
