Estelline Coop Grain is an Agronomy, Grain & Feed Products & Services provider in Estelline, SD. We have an exciting opportunity available for a qualified individual interested in the position of

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR.

This position primarily requires accurate and timely completion of weighing, grading, and documenting incoming and outgoing grain transactions, along with accurate data entry, bookkeeping, mixing/blending and dispatching of fertilizer, feed and agronomy products. Peak busy cycle times are in the spring and fall. During non-peak times this position requires cross training and work/assistance across multiple departments performing work as the business requires, such as; sales planning, promotional events, training, maintenance, warehouse management, cleaning, grounds-keeping, company vehicle/equipment cleaning and upkeep, store clerk, etc. To be successful with this opportunity a person must; have excellent communication, organization and time management skills, exhibit a high level of personal and professional integrity, be able to work with limited direct supervision, pay close attention to detail, be very personable and be committed to safety and customer service.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with Merchandiser, Office Manager and other employees and customers in a courteous and professional manner, always be aware of your surroundings.
  • Operate grain scale systems to weigh inbound and outbound grain loads. Collect grain samples, perform basic grading and moisture testing.
  • Accurately record weights, grades/discounts, and tickets using our scale and Agvance software system.
  • Work with Commodity Merchandiser to ensure information is recorded correctly, grain is properly hedged and customer contracts are setup correctly.
  • Update daily Cash Bids in the office or as otherwise directed by Commodity Merchandiser, Operations Manager or GM.
  • Assist Commodity Merchandiser in completing and submitting SD PUC and other month-end, year-end reports or periodic inspections.
  • Provide office support, equipment check-in/check-out, maintenance and work ticket management as needed.
  • Ensure all billing and other documentation is completed, accurate and processed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare/process Bills of Lading (BOL), invoices, statements, financial reports, grain DPR, fertilizer DPR, contracts, payments and other documentation required to support customer accounts and internal administrative requirements in a timely manner.
  • Assist with handling and receiving or loading products for customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
  • Assist with scheduling, handling, storage, mixing and dispatching of crop protection and crop nutrient products if needed.
  • Assist with creating customer field maps and coordinating crop nutrient or crop protection products if needed.
  • Assist with basic warehouse duties: operate forklift, load/unload trucks, farm deliveries with pickup/trailer, building or system maintenance.
  • Communicate clearly with truck drivers, other employees and customers to manage traffic, product delivery or load out safely and efficiently.
  • Demonstrate ongoing communication with all levels and divisions of the company to enhance teamwork and alignment of company and division goals.
  • Enforce credit policy of the company at all times. Participate in mid-year, annual and other periodic inventory and financial audits.
  • Work with ECG staff and outside sources as needed if issues arise. Seek out root cause, recommend possible solutions, resolve issues promptly.
  • Provide support for all departments as needed, such as admin, fertilizer, seed, feed, etc. Participate in community activities when possible.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, multi task, support unique work requirements such as farm deliveries, sponsorship activities or community activities.
Job Requirements:
  • Employee Standard hours for the administrative offices are 8-5pm, M-F. Saturdays as needed during peak times.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours is required during peak times (6-7 days, 10-14hrs, depending upon weather, etc.).
  • Overtime for hourly employees is paid outside of normal working hours and is mandatory at times during peak periods.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug test required at all times. Class A CDL w/ Combination & Air Brakes preferred.
  • High School Diploma required + Secondary Degree (preferred) in Accounting, Business Admin/Mgmt, Finance, Ag Business or related field.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to customers and coworkers (Spanish as 2nd language is a plus).
  • Basic math and computer skills to operate equipment including but not limited to; scale interface, grain testing equipment, grain probe, computer, fertilizer mapping and mixing software, seed treater, cash register, time and record keeping equipment, safety equipment, etc.
  • Ability to lift 40-60lbs.
  • Ability to learn in a fast paced environment.
Pay:

$40,000.00

  • $60,000.
