Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a friendly, organized patient scheduler who enjoys talking with patients and takes pride in keeping an appointment schedule full! This is an active scheduling role. You will help patients find appointments that work for them, follow up with people who are due for care and act quickly when cancellations create openings. In this vital role, you will coordinate patient appointments, manage clinical schedules, and ensure seamless communication between patients, providers, and staff. Your proactive approach will help optimize clinic operations, improve patient experiences, and support efficient healthcare delivery. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, and possesses a strong understanding of medical office procedures and health information management systems. Duties Schedule patient appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Confirm patient details and appointment times via phone or electronic communication while practicing professional phone etiquette Answer calls and messages promptly and help patients schedule the right type of visit Reach out to patients who are due for exams and follow up with patients who have requested appointments Confirm appointments and help patients reschedule when needed Keep accurate records of scheduling outreach and results Work with the team to identify upcoming gaps in the schedule and make a plan to fill them Handle multi-line phone systems, process incoming calls promptly, and direct inquiries appropriately Make sure by the end of the work day that all patient inquiries have been addressed and all patient text messages that are not deliverable have been fixed Uphold clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive patient information with care Qualifications Proven experience in medical scheduling or administrative support within a healthcare setting; clinic or hospital experience preferred Familiarity with medical terminology Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic health records management software Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone, text, email and in person Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Ability to think outside the box and use Ai to assist you Join our team where your organizational talents will directly contribute to the success of the business by delivering outstanding patient care! Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
