Payment Specialist Education Credit Union - 3.5 Amarillo, TX Job Details 5 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Financial services Full Job Description Summary Payments Specialist must be able to perform on a moderate to highly complex of operational jobs on a recurring or regular basis. Have an aptitude for number, must have organizational skills, and have the ability to pay attention to details to ensure all job functions and applications are compliant and accurate to best serve ECU membership and employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Handle ACH exception items and process ACH jobs. Be able to process check item, check adjustments, and return items. Must be able to process debit card disputes and be able to work debit card reports Oversee and maintain bank drafts and payroll to sure they are in balance Handle wire exception and post correctly to gl's or member accounts Remains current with regulatory changes or best practices in the payments landscape to maintain compliance. Observes and identifies areas of inefficiency to help implement process improvements for automation, accuracy improvement and/or better time management. Maintains current knowledge of department practices and can assist or substitute for staff as necessary. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Requires education associated with high school diploma; some college in a related field is a plus. Applicant needs to have 1+ years experience working in the financial services industry. Operations experience in ACH, Share (check) processing, debit cards, credit cards and other operational duties are preferred but not mandatory.
