The Opportunity 1 We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Expeditor to support EPD's procurement and manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely delivery of materials and components. This role is responsible for tracking purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, resolving delivery issues, and maintaining clear communication with internal teams to prevent production delays. What You'll Do Purchase Order Tracking & Expediting Monitor purchase orders and supplier commitments to ensure timely delivery of materials. Track order statuses through ERP systems and procurement tools. Identify delayed or at-risk shipments and take proactive action to prevent disruptions. Expedite critical materials required to support production schedules and customer orders. Maintain accurate records of expediting activities and supplier communications. Supplier Communication & Issue Resolution Communicate directly with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and shipment status. Resolve issues involving late deliveries, quantity discrepancies, damaged goods, and shipment delays. Escalate critical supplier concerns and collaborate on corrective actions. Build strong working relationships with key suppliers and service providers. Maintain updated supplier contact information and communication protocols. Production & Procurement Support Collaborate with Buyers and Purchasing teams to prioritize critical material requirements. Provide daily updates regarding material availability and delivery timelines. Coordinate with Warehouse and Production teams to ensure smooth receipt of expedited materials. Support inventory management by identifying potential shortages and supply risks. Participate in procurement meetings and operational planning discussions. Reporting & Process Improvement Track supplier performance and delivery metrics. Prepare reports on expediting activities, delivery issues, and resolution outcomes. Analyze trends that impact material availability and procurement performance. Recommend process improvements that reduce lead times and improve supplier responsiveness. Support continuous improvement initiatives across Procurement and Supply Chain operations. Safety, Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with procurement policies, logistics procedures, and operational standards. Maintain accurate ERP records and expediting documentation. Support inventory audits and supply chain compliance initiatives. Participate in safety and process training programs. Promote accountability, accuracy, and operational excellence. What You Bring High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred. 2+ years of experience in expediting, procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and supplier relationship management abilities. Experience working with ERP systems and procurement processes. Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience within manufacturing, industrial equipment, or electrical equipment industries. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or Global Shop Solutions (GSS). APICS Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) certification preferred. Knowledge of supply chain, procurement, and inventory management best practices. Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills. Why Join EPD?
