The Medical Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing provider schedules, and ensuring efficient use of clinical resources to provide excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Coordinate with medical providers, patients, and other staff to optimize appointment availability. Verify patient insurance information and eligibility prior to appointments. Communicate appointment details and any necessary preparation instructions to patients. Manage appointment cancellations, rescheduling, and follow-up reminders. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Assist with administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and records management. Handle patient inquiries professionally and provide excellent customer service. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical administration is a plus. Previous experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration preferred. Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
