Job Description
Openwork, is hiring an Operations Coordinator for a global logistics and transportation client. This position is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, managing customer accounts, and ensuring the smooth movement of bulk liquid chemicals, food products, and gases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate ocean freight and truck transportation shipments
- Manage customer accounts and provide exceptional customer service
- Resolve shipment-related issues through timely communication and follow-up
- Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams
- Process invoicing and transportation-related charges
- Monitor shipment status and service levels
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in company systems
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's preferred
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required
- 1-3 years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
