Hours:
8:30-2:30, M-F, occasional evenings and weekends Hourly wage: The hourly wage is $30. Employees who demonstrate proficiency in both English and Spanish and use their bilingual skills in the performance of their job duties will receive a 5% bilingual pay differential, for an hourly rate of $31.50.Reports to:

About Foothills Children's Advocacy Center Foothills Children's Advocacy Center coordinates the multidisciplinary response to child abuse allegations by providing a child-friendly setting where children and families can access forensic interviews, medical services, family advocacy, mental health services, and other support. Working alongside law enforcement, child protective services, medical professionals, prosecutors, and community partners, Foothills provides a coordinated, compassionate response throughout the investigative process. Position Summary The Family Engagement & Operations Coordinator combines direct interaction with children and families with the administrative and operational support needed to keep Foothills running smoothly. As the first-person children, caregivers, visitors, and community partners encounter, the Coordinator creates a warm, welcoming, trauma-informed environment; supports children and families during their time at the Center; manages reception and office functions; and provides administrative support to the Foothills team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is organized and resourceful, takes initiative, and is comfortable shifting between people-focused and administrative responsibilities throughout the day. Essential ResponsibilitiesChild & Family Engagement Welcome children, caregivers, and visitors and help them navigate their time at the Center. Engage with and monitor children while caregivers participate in appointments or meet with staff. Maintain a welcoming, organized, and child-friendly reception and waiting area. Respond calmly and compassionately to children and caregivers while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Identify opportunities to improve the experience of children and families at Foothills. Reception & Communication Serve as a primary point of contact for visitors, callers, community partners, volunteers, and others contacting Foothills. Answer and direct telephone calls and monitor the organization's general email account and correspondence. Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and shipments. Communicate professionally with families, multidisciplinary team partners, donors, vendors, and community members. Operations Support Support the day-to-day administrative and operational needs of the Center. Maintain shared calendars, conference room schedules, and organizational records. Order and maintain office, program, and Community Care Closet supplies. Coordinate routine equipment maintenance and vendor needs. Organize receipts, invoices, purchasing documentation, and other records needed for bookkeeping and financial management. Assist with data entry, spreadsheets, correspondence, document preparation, scanning, and other administrative projects. Events & Community Engagement Provide administrative and logistical support for fundraising events, trainings, meetings, donor activities, and community outreach. Assist with registration, materials, supplies, setup, and other event logistics. Support organizational projects and special initiatives as needed. Qualifications Three or more years of administrative, executive support, office management, operations, or comparable experience. At least three years of experience working with or caring for children, which may include teaching, childcare, youth programs, professional caregiving, or parenting. Strong organizational, communication, time-management, and technology skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new systems. Ability to interact comfortably and appropriately with children and families while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality. Demonstrated initiative, discretion, sound judgment, flexibility, and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and contribute to a collaborative team. Experience in a nonprofit, children's services, healthcare, legal, victim services, education, or human services setting is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is preferred. What We're Looking For This position requires someone who is equally comfortable engaging with a child and handling the details that keep an office functioning. On any given day, that might mean welcoming a family, spending time with a child while a caregiver meets with staff, organizing supplies, preparing materials for an event, or helping the team manage an administrative project. We're looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, organized, flexible, and willing to pitch in where needed. Most importantly, this person should genuinely enjoy working with children and supporting a mission-driven team. Schedule This is a 30-hour-per-week, in-office position. The regular schedule will be 8:30-2:30, M-F. Occasional schedule adjustments may be necessary for events, trainings, or other organizational activities.
