Cardiology Procedure Scheduler:
Responsibilities include: Scheduling cardiac procedures at area hospitals. Coordinating pre-procedure testing. Obtaining insurance authorization for cardiac procedures from patient's insurance carrier. Completing detailed and accurate procedure packets. Working closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to coordinate procedures based on acuity. Developing and maintaining open lines of communication with hospital procedure schedulers in various departments. Updating and maintaining physician procedure calendars. Working directly with patients to coordinate procedures, review details about the procedures and provide pre & post procedure instruction. Coordinating post procedure follow-up. Answering incoming calls from patients, providers and hospital staff. Detailed and accurate documentation in the EMR.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication skills. Minimum 1 year of experience required, preferably in a medical office. Knowledge of medical terminology and coding preferred. Ability to demonstrate up to date knowledge of the profession and industry Microsoft Office proficiency preferred Must be willing to travel between sites as needed G0crv0Tm5H
