Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Nursing Scheduler to manage staffing operations in our skilled nursing facility. This role is essential to ensuring appropriate staffing coverage for all nursing departments while supporting quality resident care. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can think quickly, and communicates effectively with clinical staff. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain schedules for CNAs, LPNs, and RNs Ensure proper staffing levels based on census, acuity, and state guidelines Manage daily call-outs, shift coverage, and last-minute staffing needs Communicate with staff regarding open shifts, schedule updates, and overtime opportunities Work to reduce overtime and agency usage while maintaining coverage Maintain accurate staffing logs, reports, and attendance records Collaborate with DON, ADON, and unit managers on staffing needs Assist with scheduling new hires and onboarding shifts Ensure compliance with facility policies and staffing regulations Qualifications Previous scheduling or staffing experience in healthcare required Experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting strongly preferred Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent staffing needs Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Proficiency in scheduling systems and Microsoft Office High school diploma or equivalent required What We Offer Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) Supportive leadership team Why Join Our Team?
