Job Description

Job Summary Delmore Logistics Inc. is seeking an organized and dependable Freight Operations Coordinator to join our on-site team. The Freight Operations Coordinator will help coordinate freight shipments, communicate with customers and transportation providers, maintain shipment documentation, monitor loads, and support the company's daily logistics operations. This position suits candidates with transportation or logistics experience, as well as motivated individuals looking to build a career in freight operations. Key Responsibilities Assist with coordinating freight shipments from pickup through delivery Communicate with customers regarding shipment requirements and scheduling Coordinate with approved motor carriers regarding available loads, pickup times, and delivery requirements Track active shipments and maintain accurate status information Confirm pickup and delivery information Maintain organized shipment and transportation records Enter and update load information in company systems Review shipping documentation for completeness and accuracy Communicate shipment delays or other service issues to the appropriate team members Assist with obtaining proof-of-delivery and other required transportation documents Support freight scheduling and daily operational planning Maintain professional communication with customers and transportation providers Escalate significant shipment or service problems to management Follow company procedures and applicable transportation requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous logistics, transportation, dispatch, administrative, or customer service experience is helpful Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer and data-entry skills Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously Professional approach to customer and carrier communication Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment Dependable attendance and punctuality Preferred Qualifications Previous freight brokerage or logistics experience Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) Experience with shipment tracking and scheduling Understanding of bills of lading, proof-of-delivery documents, and other basic freight documentation Customer service or operations coordination experience Candidates without direct freight brokerage experience may still be considered if they demonstrate strong communication, organization, computer skills, and willingness to learn. The role primarily involves computer-based logistics coordination, telephone and electronic communication, shipment monitoring, record management, and collaboration with other members of the operations team. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment where accurate communication and timely shipment updates are important.
Pay:
$25.87 - $29.15 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
