Full Job Description Description:
At Burien Nursing and Rehabilitation, we are a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Burien, Washington, dedicated to providing compassionate transitional and post-hospital care. Our goal is to help residents regain their strength, independence, and confidence as they work toward returning home or transitioning to their next stage of care. We're looking for an exceptional Scheduler & Central Supply Manager to join our team and play a vital role in keeping our facility running smoothly. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that is perfect for someone who is organized, resourceful, dependable, and great at solving problems. In this role, you'll help ensure our residents receive the care and support they need by maintaining appropriate CNA staffing coverage, coordinating schedules, and responding quickly to staffing changes and call-outs. You'll also oversee Central Supply, helping ensure essential clinical and operational supplies are properly stocked, organized, and available when our team needs them. The ideal candidate is someone who can stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, prioritize competing demands, and keep multiple moving pieces organized. You'll work closely with nursing leadership and staff across the facility, making this a key position in supporting both our residents and our care team. Essential Functions:
Develops and maintains daily, weekly, and ongoing CNA staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage based on resident census, staffing requirements, budget, and facility needs. Coordinates staffing for all CNA shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Monitors staffing levels and identifies potential coverage concerns in advance. Responds to employee call-ins and works with nursing leadership to arrange appropriate coverage. Answers employee questions regarding schedules, shift assignments, open shifts, and staffing needs. Maintains accurate records of schedules, shift changes, call-ins, open shifts, and staffing coverage. Communicates staffing changes and schedule updates to employees and appropriate nursing leadership in a timely manner. Works collaboratively with the Director of Nursing, nursing supervisors, and other department leaders to address staffing needs and coverage concerns. Identifies recurring scheduling and staffing concerns and communicates recommendations to nursing leadership. Coordinates the ordering, inventorying, delivering, rotation and cost comparisons of medical supplies, and maintains records related to the functions. Maintains the medical supply and equipment inventory in Central Supply room and in the Nursing Department. Maintains an appropriate level of stock supplies to meet staff and resident needs. Maintains confidentiality of employee and resident information. Performs job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards. Performs other duties as assigned by facility administration.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to last-minute changes. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach. Proficiency with computers, email, Microsoft Office, and scheduling systems preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
1 year of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, healthcare, or a similar environment preferred. Previous experience coordinating employee schedules, staffing coverage, or shift assignments preferred. Previous inventory, supply, purchasing, or Central Supply experience preferred. Experience in a fast-paced environment requiring strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills preferred.
Pay:
$31.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
