The Expeditor plays a critical role in supporting on-time delivery and production flow within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This position serves as a "runner" across departments, actively monitoring and advancing work orders through the manufacturing process. The Expeditor ensures material availability, verifies inventory accuracy, and removes bottlenecks on priority jobs by coordinating closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- The company believes that in-person interactions are necessary to support and drive innovation, productivity, cross-functional collaboration, effective communication, team cohesion, and employee engagement. Working on site at the facility is required.
- The company uses metrics to define standards for productivity, quality, and cost. Incumbent is responsible for meeting all defined standards.
- Track and monitor the status of active work orders across all stages of production
- Expedite priority and at-risk work orders to ensure on-time completion
- Communicate delays, constraints, and risks to relevant stakeholders
- Perform frequent checks of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods inventory
- Validate system data against physical counts and report discrepancies
- Coordinate with Warehouse and Supply Chain to resolve inventory issues
- Work with supervisors and operators to prioritize and sequence jobs effectively
- Follow up on shortages, missing documentation, or incomplete operations
- Collaborate with Supply Chain (Planning & Scheduling) to align priorities and schedules
- Partner with Manufacturing teams to maintain workflow continuity
- Coordinate with Warehouse (Shipping, Receiving, Picking) to ensure timely material movement
- Maintain logs or reports on expedited orders and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality and traceability requirements
- Actively contribute and execute ideas for process improvements and cost savings
- Presents a competent and composed demeanor, representing the company with professionalism to all stakeholders (including but not limited to applicants, employees, contractors, vendors, and customers) to successfully advance the interests of the company
- Follows all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, models safe work practices
- Responsible for contributing to and supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production control, logistics, or expediting
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and shop floor operations
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, routers, and basic technical documentation.
