Job Description
Overview We are looking for a dependable, flexible leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and understands that resident care depends on maintaining safe staffing. The ideal candidate leads by example, is willing to step in whenever needed, and takes pride in ensuring every shift is appropriately staffed while supporting both residents and team members. Responsibilities Maintain, adjust staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts. Serve as the primary on-call staffing coordinator, responding promptly to call-ins and staffing emergencies. Fill open shifts by coordinating with internal staff, agency staff, personally working shifts when necessary to maintain safe staffing levels. Track and document employee call-ins, attendance trends, and staffing shortages. Monitor part time employee hours and assist in balancing schedules to meet operational needs. Communicate staffing updates, concerns, and schedule, changes with upper management using Gmail, and other approved communication platforms. Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and strong organizational skills. Assist with onboarding and scheduling of new employees as directed. Promote teamwork and maintain positive working relationships with staff and leadership Perform direct resident care duties as a Caregiver, CNA, and/or Med Passer as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements Must be flexible with work hours and available to respond to staffing emergencies. Must participate in the on-call rotation and be available outside scheduled hours when staffing needs arise Must be willing and physically able to work direct care shifts when needed. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications. Must possess a positive attitude and a team-first mentality Current Caregiver, CNA, and/or Medpasser Previous assisted living, long term care, or health care experience Previous staffing or scheduling experience Strong leadership and decision making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and time management Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Join us as a Scheduler and become an integral part of our vibrant team!
