Lead Scheduler Michels Underground Cable, Inc.
Location:
Various | Full-time | Travel Required Installing underground cables for power transmission, power distribution, renewable energy and communication networks is a necessary step in hardening the electrical grid, delivering reliable communication networks, and integrating renewable energy into our existing systems. Position Summary As a Lead Scheduler, you will be responsible for providing advanced scheduling support and daily guidance for the Scheduling team. This role prepares, monitors, and amends fully loaded project schedules to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within the prescribed parameters. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and training new employees on standard scheduling procedures while fostering a culture of continuous growth and improvement. This role will support data center and mission critical projects while focusing on medium voltage (MV) duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, and campus distribution systems. What It Takes Bachelor's degree, 5-8 years of related experience, or equivalent combination Proficient with Scheduling software programs (Primavera, P6, Microsoft Project) Experience working on medium voltage (MV) duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, or campus distribution systems for data centers Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the DOT Operations Director and Michels Legal Department. Ability to travel up to 35% of the time to various project sites Desired Qualifications Certified Scheduling Technician (CST) or Earned Value Professional (EVP) Certifications Project Management Professional (PMP) Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) Certification or the ability to obtain SmartPM, cost control, change management, earned value, and estimating experience.
