Job Description

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a surgery scheduler or in a similar role is preferred
  • Proficiency in using medical office software systems such as Dentrix, Epic, or other electronic medical records systems
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to surgery scheduling
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
Duties:
  • Schedule surgeries and procedures for patients
  • Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth scheduling process
  • Obtain necessary pre-authorization and insurance verification for surgeries
  • Communicate with patients to provide information about surgery dates, preparation instructions, and any necessary paperwork
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scheduled surgeries and procedures
