Job Overview About the role Our physician-owned ophthalmology and aesthetics practice is hiring a scheduler to own the patient journey from decision-to-treat through post-procedure follow-up. You'll coordinate cataract and ophthalmic surgeries as well as our growing aesthetic services line — laser, CO2, and RF microneedling treatments. This is a patient-facing role where clear, confident conversations about treatment costs are part of the job. What you'll do Schedule surgeries and aesthetic procedures; coordinate surgeon availability, facility time, and pre-op testing Obtain prior authorizations and verify benefits for insured procedures Discuss pricing and payment directly with patients for cash-pay and premium options (premium lenses, aesthetic packages) — comfort talking about money is essential Follow up with patients within 72 hours of consult to answer questions and confirm decisions Manage cancellations and fill schedule gaps to keep utilization high Maintain accurate records in eyeMD EMR What we're looking for 2+ years scheduling in a surgical, ophthalmology, or medical aesthetics setting Experience scheduling aesthetic/elective procedures strongly preferred Proven comfort presenting costs and payment options for cash-pay services strong EHR aptitude required Detail-obsessed with authorizations, dates, and follow-up Why join us Physician-owned and growing — no hospital bureaucracy PTO, paid sick leave, and 401(k) A role with real ownership: you run the surgical and aesthetic pipeline
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
