Job Description:
This position is responsible for shipping and receiving of all raw materials and finished products. Primary function Required to work as a team on all the daily shipping and receiving operations. Required to maintain the highest safety standards as well as housekeeping standards in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position reports directly to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.Job Functions:
Primary function: Load and/or unload all bulk and railcar shipments in all weather conditions Communicate with the contracted or company truck drivers on load information and scale all inbound and outbound trucks in and out. Ensure the inbound and outbound loads are verified and that the drivers have all the required information to pick up or drop off material. Prepare any incoming or outgoing paperwork required for each load such as Packing Lists and Bill of Ladings. Verify the material, counts and information before signing off as completed. Pick, pull, and stage outbound loads as needed. Follow all safety precautions before completing the loading or unloading of a truck (placing wheel chocks, jacks, making sure dock plates are in place, etc.) Load and/or unload all inbound or outbound trucks. If required, seal trucks before they leave the premise. Tag all incoming shipments appropriately. Organize inventory in warehouse for specific customers and vendor delivery. Keep the shipping and receiving area clean and organized at all times. Count and communicate monthly inventory. Pull material samples as needed for potential shipments.Job Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stoop ,bend, ascend/descend stairs/ladders, and stand/walk for prolonged periods of time Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to work in a high noise manufacturing environment while exposed to the outside temperatures/environment. Education/Training/Experience High School Diploma required. Must be able to do basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 1-2 years' experience in shipping and receiving preferred. 1-2 years of forklift experience required.Work Location:
