ABOUT THE ROLE
Baron Weather Inc. is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving/Facilities Clerk to manage the flow of inbound and outbound materials while also serving as a key point of contact for facilities upkeep. This is a full-time, on-site position working standard business hours.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping & Receiving Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments for accuracy and damage Pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments; generate shipping labels and documentation Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight lines, etc.) to schedule pickups and resolve delivery issues Maintain accurate inventory records and update tracking systems Organize and maintain the stockroom/warehouse area, including proper storage and labeling Operate material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) safely Communicate with internal departments regarding order status, delays, or discrepancies Facilities Serve as the primary contact for building systems monitoring (HVAC, lighting, plumbing) and escalate issues as needed Schedule and coordinate with outside vendors for maintenance, janitorial services, pest control, and repairs Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards Support basic facility upkeep tasks (minor repairs, furniture setup, signage, etc.) Help maintain compliance with building safety standards and coordinate related inspections Manage facility-related supplies and reorder as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred Experience coordinating vendors or general facilities/maintenance exposure is a plus Comfortable using basic computer systems (inventory software, email, spreadsheets) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities across a workday Good communication skills for working with carriers, vendors, and internal teams
