A Shipping or Receiving Clerk tracks all incoming and/or outgoing shipments at a company facility and checks that shipment orders are filled correctly. Uses scanning equipment to track inventory. Works in receiving to check shipments that are primarily production materials or company supplies, or checks outgoing shipments of finished products.
Performs a variety of warehouse duties under general supervision, including the pickup and delivery of supplies, materials, and equipment. Receives, verifies, stores, and issues inventory; matches items by name, code, and size. Stacks, palletizes, and organizes stock. Supports material requests and fulfills job and customer orders efficiently. Will occasionally be required to transport materials to local customers via semi-trailer truck (Within the state of Alabama).

High School diploma (preferred) or GED. One or more years related experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MUST possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Required to submit to and must be able to pass an
MVR Responsibilities of Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Driver:
Coordinates and processes domestic and international shipments, including packing, labeling, staging, and handling shipping documents and claims. Receives, inspects, transports, and stores raw materials, supplies, and inventory; ensures accurate stock levels and proper material handling. Maintains and restocks office and warehouse supply areas; reorders materials and ensures supply machines are filled. Pulls and prepares stock for internal jobs; calculates material needs for machining and identifies non-conforming materials. Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely; regularly lifts and moves items up to 100 lbs. Follows all safety protocols and company procedures; assists with general cleaning, administrative tasks, and other assigned duties. Operate a semi-trailer truck to make local in-state deliveries within Alabama, averaging 3 times per month.
Qualities of Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Driver:
Must be legally licensed to operate a semi-trailer truck and able to make local in-state deliveries within Alabama, averaging 3 times per month. Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Performs physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and material handling. Follows safety protocols for handling, storing, and moving freight and materials. Applies proper lifting techniques and safe work practices to prevent injury. Collaborates effectively in a team environment and adapts to changing priorities. Handles administrative tasks such as file management and paperwork under tight deadlines.
