Full Job Description Position:
Shipping and Receiving Agent Reports To:
Warehouse Manager Hours:
6AM - 2:30 PM (Onsite)
FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt (Hourly) Essential Job Functions
  • Receive incoming packages and freight from UPS, FedEx, and other carriers, and enter receipts in ERP System.
This includes:
  • Inspecting boxes and pallets for damage, tampering, or poor condition before acceptance, and documenting any damage found.
  • Comparing supplier packing slips and shipping documents against purchase order and part information in ERP System.
  • Counting and verifying quantities received.
  • Investigating discrepancies in quantity, part number, or documentation and escalating unresolved issues to Purchasing.
  • Requesting missing certifications, packing slips, or other required documentation from suppliers.
  • Seeking clarification from Purchasing, Quality, or suppliers when documentation or material does not match expectations.
  • Labeling material accurately and in accordance with company and traceability requirements.
  • Staging received material for inspection, stock, or production.
  • Organizing received material so that it can be located quickly and accurately.
  • Assist with loading and unloading freight, including truck deliveries and outbound pickups.
  • Prepare outbound shipments by banding, wrapping, boxing, and palletizing material so that it is protected in transit.
  • Move material, tooling, equipment, and other items between company buildings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and filing, including packing slips, bills of lading, and carrier documentation. Additional Responsibilities The following responsibilities will be trained on the job. Full proficiency is expected within six months of hire.
  • Arrange domestic shipments, including carrier selection, rate quotes, scheduling pickups, and preparing shipping documentation.
  • Arrange international shipments, including commercial invoices, packing lists, HTS/ECCN information, and required customs documentation.
  • Prepare and submit export approval requests in accordance with company export compliance procedures and applicable U.S. export regulations.
  • Arrange third-party shipments to and from CEI, including customer- and supplier-routed freight and collect/third-party billing arrangements. Qualifications
  • Minimum
  • 1+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry, accurate typing, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to read, compare, and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents in English
  • Valid Arizona driver's license and satisfactory driving record for movement of material between company buildings
  • Must be a U.

  • Warehouse and manufacturing environment, including dock and outdoor areas that are not climate controlled; exposure to noise, dust, and seasonal temperature extremes
  • Frequently stands, walks, bends, stoops, reaches, and climbs throughout the shift
  • Frequently lifts and carries up to 50 pounds; occasionally lifts up to 75 pounds, using lifting equipment or a second person for heavier or awkward loads
  • Regularly operates a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and banding, wrapping, and packaging equipment
  • Required personal protective equipment includes safety-toe footwear and safety glasses in designated areas
