Position Type:
Full-time Position Summary Tomlin Scientific is seeking a dependable and organized Shipping & Receiving Associate to support daily warehouse operations. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are handled safely and correctly. Local deliveries may also be required as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming materials and supplies. Verify quantities, product information, lot numbers, and paperwork. Report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials. Prepare products and documentation for outgoing shipments. Confirm shipment quantities against work orders, packing lists, and bills of lading. Label, palletize, wrap, and secure materials for shipment. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Assist with inventory counts and investigate discrepancies. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely. Complete local pickups and deliveries as assigned. Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials during deliveries. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shipping area. Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards. Communicate effectively with Production, Quality, Customer Service, transportation providers, and customers. Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or delivery experience preferred. Forklift experience preferred. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required. Ability to safely operate a company delivery vehicle. Ability to read and verify shipping documents and product labels. Strong attention to detail and basic math skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to safely lift, move, and handle warehouse materials. Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
