  • Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate
  • Job Description
  • This role focuses on supporting shipping and receiving operations within a manufacturing environment, ideally in aerospace. You will assist team members in the painting and chem mill departments by moving parts, preparing products for shipment, and ensuring accurate inventory and material handling throughout the warehouse.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Assist employees in the painting and chem mill departments by safely moving parts and materials throughout the facility.

+ Prepare parts and products for shipping and receiving, including grinding and deburring when necessary to meet quality standards.

+ Stage products for delivery so that orders are organized, clearly labeled, and ready for on-time dispatch.

+ Unload incoming product and materials from trucks and other vehicles, verifying quantities and condition as required.

+ Load outgoing product onto trucks or other transportation, ensuring secure and proper placement to prevent damage in transit.

+ Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move, stack, and organize inventory in the warehouse.

+ Perform general shipping and receiving tasks, including checking orders, confirming documentation, and updating records.

+ Handle warehouse inventory by counting, organizing, and maintaining accurate inventory control.

+ Use RF scanners or similar devices to track inventory movements, pick orders, and update stock levels.

+ Pick and package materials and products according to shipping requirements and customer specifications.

+ Provide basic customer service support related to shipping and receiving, ensuring that internal and external stakeholders receive accurate information about orders and deliveries.

+ Support overall warehouse operations by maintaining a clean, organized work area and following all safety procedures.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Previous experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing environment.

+ Experience in aerospace manufacturing or processing is strongly preferred.

+ Hands-on forklift experience with the ability to operate forklifts safely in a warehouse setting.

+ Knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory handling and material movement.

+ Ability to perform grinding and deburring tasks on parts when required.

+ Experience unloading and loading product and staging items for delivery.

+ Basic customer service skills related to shipping and receiving inquiries.

+ Capability to use RF scanners or similar devices for inventory tracking and order picking.

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory control and documentation.

+ Ability to perform physical material handling tasks, including lifting, moving, and organizing parts.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience in aerospace processing or aerospace manufacturing is ideal.

+ Forklift certification is highly beneficial.

+ Familiarity with warehouse inventory management processes and systems.

+ Experience with picking, packaging, and material handling in a warehouse environment.

+ Experience in inventory control and warehouse organization.

+ Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with changing priorities.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $17.

50 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
