Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM About Medix is working with a company that develops and manufactures surgical tools and products used to support eye surgery, vision correction, diagnostic procedures, dry-eye treatment, and general eye care . Position Overview The Shipping Clerk is responsible for supporting daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure products are accurately processed, packaged, documented, and delivered according to customer requirements and company standards. This role manages outgoing shipments, incoming materials, inventory documentation, and carrier coordination while maintaining a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment. Responsibilities Review customer purchase orders and invoices to verify all products are accurately picked, packed, and shipped according to requirements Prepare, process, and label domestic and international shipments based on customer-specific shipping instructions Coordinate shipments with appropriate carriers including FedEx, UPS, USPS, and other transportation providers Schedule carrier pickups and ensure shipments are processed and delivered on time Perform final shipment verification checks to confirm outgoing packages are accurate, complete, and ready for delivery Load and unload trucks using manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed Receive incoming materials, supplies, and product returns into the ERP system Process shipping documentation and maintain accurate records using ERP systems and carrier websites Track shipments and resolve issues related to delays, damaged freight, or delivery concerns Submit freight claims for damaged inbound and outbound shipments Maintain organized shipping supplies and a clean shipping area through housekeeping, organization, and inventory management Stock finished goods and support inventory organization Deliver products throughout company facilities and occasionally transport materials to sterilization vendors Complete daily post office runs as needed Monitor shipping dock security and ensure proper handling of materials Assist with product packaging activities as needed Communicate shipping concerns, delays, or challenges to supervisors and assist with resolution efforts Follow company safety procedures, manufacturing guidelines, and quality standards Maintain professional communication and a strong commitment to teamwork and customer satisfaction Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or a related warehouse role Experience working with shipping carriers and online carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.) Experience using ERP systems for inventory, shipping, or documentation purposes Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, email, and data entry Ability to maintain accurate records and quality documentation Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and ensure shipment accuracy Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team environmentFor California Applicants:
