We manage large-scale overseas purchasing, domestic warehousing, and nationwide fulfillment from our California facility. We are seeking an experienced and detail oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to process day to day shipments of our products to retail chains nationwide. Responsibilities Receive incoming containers from overseas Manage outgoing shipments to customers to ensure excellent outbound traffic management resulting in on-time delivery to the customer under extremely tight delivery windows Manage outgoing shipment procedures to ensure company will not incur any chargebacks from customer by reading Routing Guidelines and shipping with 100% accuracy on: Shipping Windows, Paperwork and packaging, Carton Markings, UPC Codes, Labeling, Advance Shipping Notification, Routing Guidelines Proactively investigate all potential shipments prior to their availability, taking all necessary steps to ensure that no traffic related delays in shipment occur Assist in supervising daily activities in the warehouse, specifically in the shipping/receiving department Maintain shipping related documents including: Bills of Lading (BOL), Packing List (PL), Routing Guidelines All other shipping related paperwork
Qualifications:
3 years of shipping experience in an import, wholesale, or distribution environment Working knowledge of WMS systems Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); Office 365 experience a plus Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
