Your impact Our Water Business is currently hiring a Quantity Surveyor (QS) to work on an ongoing Tuas Water Reclamation Plant Project in Singapore. The role is based at Tuas Site Office with working days Monday to Friday. Transport is provided to/from 3 pickup points. The QS will provide the contract administration for the project. The QS will report to the Senior Contracts Manager. The QS will work closely with the Project Manager in Jacobs, The Client, and with 3rd Parties and be able to effectively communicate and coordinate with all the parties. The QS will also work closely with all other resident site staff in the construction team in ensuring timely issuance and accuracy of progress payments.
Essential Duties:
Working with the Project Manager; the QS evaluates, selects, and applies standard contract administration and measurement techniques to the administration and assessment of progress claims, variation claims and notice of claims relating to Extension of Time (EOT) and Loss and Expense (L&E). Performs routine aspects of quantity surveying, assessment, processing and certification of progress claims, and general administration of contracts including drafting replies to the contractor's general correspondence and notices of claims. May assist in preparing cash flows, contingency analysis, assessment of variation claims and claims for EOT and L&E. Checking progress claims and invoices Preparation of monthly valuations for progress payments to the Main Contractor. Measurement, valuation, negotiation and agreement with the Contractor of all variations to the Contract. Assist in preparing cost estimates for variation claims, obtaining and assessment of quotations, preparation of change notices, and SO Instructions. Preparation of regular cost reconciliation statements of the project showing payments to-date & projected final cost. Review and evaluate extra payment and /or extension of time claims by the Contractors and make recommendation to the Board Attendance of site meeting and virtual meeting. Preparation & agreement of final accounts for the project. Here's what you'll need To be a successful candidate, you should possess: Minimum Bachelor Degree in QS or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of relevant QS working experience. Experience in green field, new build projects. Experience in Water projects would be an added advantage. MS office skills are essential and knowledge and application in Revit BIM will be a bonus.
