Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated S&R (Shipping & Receiving) Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of inventory through shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation, proper handling of materials, and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, safety awareness, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment. This position plays a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting retail store operations, and ensuring timely delivery of products to customers. 6 am - 2:30 pm M-F OT based on workload. Duties Operate RF scanners and material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods safely within the warehouse. Receive incoming shipments by verifying quantities and inspecting for damage; accurately record receipt details using inventory management systems. Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting appropriate products, packaging items securely, and documenting shipping information. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and inventory control procedures. Assist with merchandising tasks including product stocking, organizing retail displays, and ensuring retail store product knowledge is up-to-date. Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of warehouse areas to ensure a safe and organized environment. Communicate effectively with team members across departments to coordinate shipping schedules and resolve discrepancies. Support shipping & receiving processes by loading and unloading trucks efficiently while following safety protocols. Contribute to overall warehouse operations by supporting inventory management efforts and assisting with other logistical tasks as needed. Skills Proficiency with RF scanners, forklift operation, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and management. Experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, and manual handling procedures. Ability to perform basic math accurately for counting, measurements, and documentation purposes. Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for diverse team environments. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and customer service principles. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. Familiarity with inventory management software and shipping documentation processes. Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts. Commitment to safe lifting practices and maintaining a clean work environment.
