Shipping Coordinator Job Description Join a dynamic contract manufacturing shop renowned for its extensive local customer base. As a Shipping Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customer orders are shipped accurately and efficiently while providing essential communication and administrative support. Responsibilities Prepare shipping documents accurately and in compliance with company and customer specifications. Cross-reference purchase orders with shipping documentation to ensure proper invoicing and order fulfillment. Collaborate with shipping personnel to ensure customer orders are packaged and shipped in a timely manner. Assist with general office tasks such as filing, answering phones, and responding to customer inquiries. Contact customers to schedule pickups and coordinate COD payments. Perform data entry and maintain shipping records. Support overall team operations by performing additional tasks as needed. Essential Skills Knowledge of shipping and order fulfillment processes. Work Environment This role operates within a machine shop setting as well as an office environment, providing a unique blend of hands-on and administrative tasks Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
