What You'll Do:
You'll support daily shipping operations by preparing, verifying, and loading outgoing orders while helping maintain accurate records and an organized shipping area. Prepare outgoing customer orders for shipment using established shipping procedures and work instructions. Count, weigh, and verify outgoing products to ensure shipments are accurate before they leave the facility. Inspect shipments and report shortages, damaged products, or other concerns to your supervisor. Package, strap, weigh, and label products for safe transportation. Load trucks and shipping containers using floor-loading methods or a forklift based on shipment requirements. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to safely move products throughout the shipping area. Use internal computer systems to check product status, track shipments, and maintain accurate shipping records. Work from purchase orders, shipping documents, computer systems, and written or verbal instructions. Identify and report equipment issues, defective materials, or unsafe conditions. Maintain daily shipping and production records as required. Keep the shipping area and equipment clean, organized, and safe. Work closely with team members to keep daily shipping activities moving and meet customer delivery requirements.
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 1 to 2 years of shipping, warehouse, distribution, or related experience. Forklift experience and current certification preferred, or ability to successfully complete Pelican's forklift certification during the initial training period. Experience preparing, packaging, and loading outgoing shipments. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Comfortable using basic computer systems for product tracking and recordkeeping. Strong attention to detail when counting, weighing, labeling, and verifying shipments. Ability to work safely and productively in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Comfortable working as part of a team and adjusting to changing shipping priorities.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The annual U.S. pay range for this position is listed below. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
